Formerly known as Berea Manor, our serene beauty by the sea was built in 1894, during the era known as “La Belle Epoque.” This graceful, airy three-story Victorian served as a guest house until the Seventies, when hard times forced the owners to abandon her. She remained vacant and boarded up until 2000, when she was rediscovered. Beneath tattered rugs and peeling wallpaper, most of her original architectural details were miraculously intact: inlaid hardwood floors, wood bull’s-eye molding, bowed windows, even the original servants’ staircase. Lovingly restored, fully renovated and finally reawakened to her prior glory, she has been reborn as Sixth Avenue House — Asbury Park’s premier Bed & Breakfast.
